Through The Periscope

This event took place in February 2015 for which our staff took a different approach to sharing best practice. Using the app ‘Periscope’, we delivered three online discsussions with staff currently using technology within their teaching practice. We discussed the pros and cons of the different technology but also the staff members own personal developent with it. In addition we took live questions via Twitter and Periscope which were answered by our staff. The full three discussions can be viewed below.

JISC ‘Students at the heart of Learning’ conference – University of Manchester, Thursday 27 March 2014

  • You will be able to read about the conference presentation within the link provided.  Basically, we were encouraged to submit an abstract for the conference and were accepted.  We shared with the audience our ‘evolving case study’ on the use of Mobile Technologies in Bioscience.  Two year 2 students did all the hard work and did the University Centre and College proud. http://www.jiscrsc.ac.uk/yh/stay-informed/conference-papers.aspx Since then we have been asked to visit a number of colleges to share our experiences, achievements and minor obstacles.  Very exciting developments!  We will be submitting further conference submissions and we have been asked by JISC to submit an abstract for their summer conference in Leeds.
